Fracture is a 2007 American-German crime-mystery thriller film, with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling directed by Gregory Hoblit. It is the story of a cuckold who contrives a battle of wits with a young assistant district attorney by shooting his wife in the head with her lover's homicide-detective gun. After the shooter achieves a dismissal of the case on his staged lack of evidence, the assistant D.A. continues his obsessive mission to prove the guilt of the killer who had baited him into that very condition.
