Hackney Wick is an area of East London in the London Borough of Hackney, adjacent to the boundary with Old Ford in the district of Bow in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is an inner-city development situated 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Charing Cross. West of its broad area, and with greater tube access, lies Hackney Central, the historic centre of Hackney Borough.
