The Iowa Hawkeyes football team is the college football team representing the University of Iowa, located in Iowa City, Iowa. The Hawkeyes are currently coached by Kirk Ferentz, who has begun his 17th season as the head coach and is also tied for the second-longest current tenured coach in NCAA Division I FBS (he is tied with University of Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops). The Hawkeyes compete in the West division of the Big Ten Conference (Big Ten). They have been a member of the Big Ten since 1899, and are currently a Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) member of the NCAA. The Hawkeyes play their home games at Kinnick Stadium, with a capacity of 70,585.
