Nihon University (; Nihon Daigaku abbreviated as Nichidai) is a private research university in Japan, which is considered the country's largest institution of higher learning. Yamada Akiyoshi, the Minister of Justice, founded Nihon Law School, currently the Department of Law, in October 1889.
