Osei Kwame Panyin was the ruler of the
Ashanti Confederacy (located in present-day
Ghana) from 1777 to 1801, holding the title of
Asantehene. In December 1803, he was succeeded by Osei Fofie. Osei Kwame Panyin was considered a bad king. He killed many of his family and sacrificed ordinary people at the funerals of his family members.
