The company was founded in 2007 after acquiring the music catalogs of John Rich, "Big Kenny" Alphin, Vicky McGehee, and Bruce Roberts. In 2010, Reservoir Media Management bought the TVT Music Enterprises, LLC publishing catalog, including works by songwriters including Scott Storch, Devo Springsteen, and Big Reese, and performing artists Christina Aguilera, John Legend, and 50 Cent.
