Surendranagar is an administrative district in the state of
Gujarat in
India. It has a population of approximately 1.7 million people. Surendranagar is also known as
Jhalawad, as many principalities of Surendranagar district were ruled by
Jhala Rajputs.
Surendranagar city (incorporating
Wadhwan City) has a total of 400,000 inhabitants, and is known as
the city of Hi-Tech Bungalows. It was also known as "Camp".
