TfL Rail is the initial brand for London Crossrail services which commenced in May 2015. The service will be re-branded as Crossrail in May 2017 when the new Class 345 trains are introduced. Services are provided by the train operating company MTR Crossrail (owned by MTR Corporation) under a contract by Transport for London, and covers the Liverpool Street to Shenfield route during the initial stage. The services will expand in stages to become the full Crossrail network by 2019. Prior to MTR Crossrail, trains on the Shenfield Line were run by Abellio Greater Anglia.
