The Divergent Series is a feature film series based on the Divergent novels by the American author Veronica Roth. The series is distributed by Summit Entertainment and consists of four science-fiction dystopian action adventure films produced by Lucy Fisher, Pouya Shabazian, and Douglas Wick and stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James as the two leading characters, Beatrice "Tris" Prior and Tobias "Four" Eaton while Ansel Elgort, Zoë Kravitz and Miles Teller play as the three main supporting characters, Caleb Prior, Christina and Peter Hayes. Two directors have worked on the series; Neil Burger directed the first film and Robert Schwentke directed the next two films.
