University Park is a 1.17-square-mile low-income neighborhood in Los Angeles, California, within the South Los Angeles area. It is the site of the University of Southern California, but it is also notable for its dense concentration of residents, their youthful age range, their high ratio of single to married parents, their low rate of marriage and their low median household income. It is one of the most ethnically diverse areas in Los Angeles.
