Basal cell carcinoma (also known as basalioma or basal cell cancer), is the most common malignant skin tumor, and one of the most common cancers in the United States. Albeit basal cell carcinoma has a low metastatic potential, this tumor can cause significant destruction and disfigurement by invading surrounding tissues.
