Omics
The English-language neologism omics informally refers to a field of study in biology ending in -omics, such as genomicsproteomics or metabolomics. The related suffix -ome is used to address the objects of study of such fields, such as the genomeproteome or metabolome respectively. Omics aims at the collective characterization and quantification of pools of biological molecules that translate into the structure, function, and dynamics of an organism or organisms.

OMICS Publishing Group
OMICS Publishing Group is a publisher of open access journals that is widely regarded as predatory. It is part of the OMICS Group, based in Hyderabad, India. It issued its first publication in 2008. According to a 2012 article in The Chronicle of Higher Education about 60 percent of the group's 200 journals had never actually published anything.
