In Greek mythology, Daedalus (; Daidalos, perhaps related to δαιδάλλω "to work artfully"; ; Etruscan: Taitale) was a skillful craftsman and artist. He is the father of Icarus, the uncle of Perdix and possibly also the father of Iapyx although this is unclear.
