Mecklenburg County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2010 census, the population was 919,628, which increased to 1,012,539 as of the 2014 estimate, making it both the most populated and densely populated county in North Carolina. Its county seat and largest city is Charlotte.
