Ashur

Ashur (; often also transliterated as Asshur to reflect the pointing of Hebrew letter '' (Shin) in the Masoretic text, which doubles the 'ש'), was the second son of Shem, the son of Noah. Ashur's brothers were Elam, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
