Cosmology
Cosmology (from the Greek κόσμος, kosmos "world" and -λογία, -logia "study of"), is the study of the origin, evolution, and eventual fate of the universe. Physical cosmology is the scholarly and scientific study of the origin, evolution, large-scale structures and dynamics, and ultimate fate of the universe, as well as the scientific laws that govern these realities. Religious or mythological cosmology is a body of beliefs based on mythological, religious, and esoteric literature and traditions of creation and eschatology.

Kosmologie
Die Kosmologie ( „die Lehre von der Welt“) beschäftigt sich mit dem Ursprung, der Entwicklung und der grundlegenden Struktur des Kosmos, des Universums als Ganzem. Sie ist ein Teilgebiet der Astronomie, das in enger Beziehung zur Astrophysik steht.

کيهان‌شناسي
کيهان‌شناسي مطالعه سرآغاز، تکامل و سرانجام نهايي جهان است. کيهان‌شناسي فيزيکي عبارت است از مطالعه آکادميک و علمي سرآغاز، تکامل، ساختارهاي بزرگ مقياس و ديناميک جهان و سرانجام نهايي جهان مي‌پردازد و همچنين در پي کشف قوانين علمي حاکم بر اين حقايق مي‌باشد. کيهان‌شناسي مذهبي (يا اساطيري) عبارت است از پيکره‌اي از باورها که برآمده از متون و رسوم تاريخي، اساطيري، ديني و قوميتي در مورد خلقت و فرجام‌شناسي مي‌باشند.
