The
Karaim language (Crimean dialect:

karay dili, traditional Hebrew name
lashon kedar - «language of the nomads») is a
Tatar language with no trace of Hebrew influence. It is spoken by only a few dozen
Karaims (Qrimqaraylar) in
Lithuania,
Poland and
Crimea and
Galicia in
Ukraine. The three main dialects are those of Crimea,
Trakai-
Vilnius and
Lutsk-
Halych all of which are critically
endangered.
