Lajat
Al-Lajat is a region located in southern Syria east of the Jordan River, on an island of rock which was approximately by , and rose 20 or above the table-land of Bashan. The region is known by several names. In the Hebrew Bible it was known as Argob ( / ), and in the New Testament it is called Trachonitis. In addition, its modern-day title has multiple spellings in English, including Lajat, Lejat and Lajah and El-Leja.
