Mountain Brook, Alabama

Mountain Brook is a city in southeastern Jefferson County, Alabama, and a suburb of Birmingham. According to the 2010 census, the population is 20,413. It is the state's most affluent place. In a list compiled in 2008 by Stephen Higley, Ph.D., it's the ninth wealthiest community in the United States.
