Pineios River (Thessaly)

The Peneiós (, , referred to in Latin sources as Peneus) is a river in Thessaly, Greece. The river is named after the god Peneus. During the later Middle Ages, it was also known as the Salambrias or Salabrias (Σαλα[μ]βριάς).
