Epidemiological studies have confirmed the relationship between income, education and occupation on the one hand and health outcomes on the other. Study's found that relative risk of death increased significantly as rank decreased. The message is simple: The lower your socioeconomic status, the greater your risk of both physical and psychological health problems.
