A fish is any member of a paraphyletic group of organisms that consist of all gill-bearing aquatic craniate animals that lack limbs with digits. Included in this definition are the living hagfish, lampreys, and cartilaginous and bony fish, as well as various extinct related groups. Most fish are ectothermic ("cold-blooded"), allowing their body temperatures to vary as ambient temperatures change, though some of the large active swimmers like white shark and tuna can hold a higher core temperature. Fish are abundant in most bodies of water. They can be found in nearly all aquatic environments, from high mountain streams (e.g., char and gudgeon) to the abyssal and even hadal depths of the deepest oceans (e.g., gulpers and anglerfish). With 33,100 described species, fish exhibit greater species diversity than any other group of vertebrates.

Das Festival im StadtHafen Rostock (kurz: FiSH) ist seit 2004 der Kurzfilmfestival-Nachfolger in Rostock des BDFA-Bundeswettbewerbs „Junger Film“. Das Festival wird vom Bundesverband Deutscher Film- Autoren e.V. veranstaltet, vom Institut für neue Medien Rostock ausgerichtet und findet seit 2004 jährlich Ende April in Rostock statt.

Fish es el nombre artístico del escocés Derek William Dick (Edimburgo, Escocia, 25 de abril de 1958 - ). Es un compositor y cantante de rock progresivo. Creció y fue educado en el pueblo de Dalkeith, Escocia. Después de una irregular carrera como empleado de una gasolinera, jardinero, empleado de la Comisión de Bosques e inspector de sistemas contra incendio, en 1981 llegó a la atención del público como vocalista del grupo Marillion, en el cual permaneció siete años. Según sus propias palabras el sobrenombre Fish (pez) fue adquirido durante un viaje a Alemania en 1978 debido a las largas horas que pasaba leyendo en la bañera.

FISH o hibridación fluorescente in situ es una técnica citogenética de marcaje de cromosomas mediante la cual estos son hibridados con sondas que emiten fluorescencia y permiten la visualización, distinción y estudio de los cromosomas así como de las anomalías que puedan presentar. Vissen (Pisces) zijn in het water levende gewervelde dieren die in de regel ademhalen met kieuwen. De meeste vissen zijn koudbloedig, maar sommige grotere soorten vertonen warmbloedige trekjes. Vissen komen over de hele wereld voor, er zijn momenteel ruim 32.000 soorten, in meer dan 500 families onderverdeeld en er wordt met regelmaat een nieuwe soort ontdekt.
