The tabla (, , ,  Malayalam: തബല ) is a membranophone percussion instrument (similar to bongos), which is often used in Hindustani classical music and in the traditional music of Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The instrument consists of a pair of hand drums of contrasting sizes and timbres.

tabla! is a weekly English language newspaper in Singapore, published by Tamil Murasu. Launched in October 2008, it marked its third anniversary on October 2011 with the launch of the tabla! Community Champion Award. tabla! also presented the Taj Express, a Bollywood musical that made its world premiere here in Singapore, on June 7.
