Year 58 (LVIII) was a common year starting on Sunday (link will display the full calendar) of the Julian calendar. At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Caesar and Messalla (or, less frequently, year 811 Ab urbe condita). The denomination 58 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the Anno Domini calendar era became the prevalent method in Europe for naming years.

Telephone numbers in Venezuela
The Venezuelan Numbering Plan is an open telephone numbering plan with three-digit area codes and seven-digit telephone numbers that directs telephone calls to particular regions on a public switched telephone network (PSTN) or to a mobile telephone network, where they are further routed by the local network. The last revision of the current numbering plan is September 21, 2000.

- Début de la campagne d'Arménie (fin en 63). Victoire de Corbulon contre Tiridate d'Arménie et Vologèse , roi des Parthes ; après le massacre de la garnison parthe de Volandum et la prise d'Artaxata, les armées romaines hivernent en Arménie.
- L'apôtre Paul est arrêté à Jérusalem pour troubles dans le Temple après la Pentecôte. Il est emprisonné à Césarée jusqu'en 60. Il invoque sa citoyenneté romaine et on l’envoie à Rome pour être jugé.
- Été : en Thuringe, conflit entre deux tribus germaniques, les Hermundures et les Chattes, pour le contrôle d'eaux salines.
