AV receiver
An audio/video receiver (AVR) is a consumer electronics unit used in a home theater. Its primary purpose is to receive audio and video signals from a number of sources and process them to drive loudspeakers and a display. Possible displays include, television, monitor, or video projector while the inputs may come from, television, satellite receiver, radio, DVD playersBlu-ray Disc playersVCRs, and video game consoles. The AVR source signal and other settings, including volume, are normally set by a remote controller.
