The
Alaska pollock or
walleye pollock (
Gadus chalcogrammus, formerly
Theragra chalcogramma) is a marine fish species of the
cod family
Gadidae. Alaska pollock is a semipelagic
schooling fish widely distributed in the
North Pacific with largest concentrations found in the eastern
Bering Sea.
