Biologie

Biology is a natural science concerned with the study of life and living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, evolution, distribution, and taxonomy. Modern biology is a vast and eclectic field, composed of many branches and subdisciplines. However, despite the broad scope of biology, there are certain general and unifying concepts within it that govern all study and research, consolidating it into single, coherent fields. In general, biology recognizes the cell as the basic unit of life, genes as the basic unit of heredity, and evolution as the engine that propels the synthesis and creation of new species. It is also understood today that all organisms survive by consuming and transforming energy and by regulating their internal environment to maintain a stable and vital condition.

Biologie (von ‚Leben‘ und -logie ‚Lehre‘, abgeleitet aus λόγος lógos) ist die Wissenschaft von den Lebewesen und befasst sich mit allgemeinen Gesetzmäßigkeiten des Lebendigen, speziellen Besonderheiten der Lebewesen, ihrem Aufbau, Organisation und Entwicklung sowie ihren vielfältigen Strukturen und Prozessen. Sie ist ein Teilgebiet der Naturwissenschaften.

La biologie est la science du vivant. Prise au sens large de science du vivant elle recouvre une partie des sciences de la nature et de l'histoire naturelle des êtres vivants (ou ayant vécu). Biologie (z reckého jako život a jako veda – tedy životoveda – veda zkoumající život) v nejširším slova smyslu je vední obor zabývající se organismy a vším, co s nimi souvisí, od chemických deju v organismech probíhajících na úrovni atomu a molekul, až po celé ekosystémy – tedy spolecenstva mnoha populací ruzných organismu a jejich vzájemné vztahy i vztahy k jejich životnímu prostredí.
