Forbundsrepublikken Brasil er Sør-Amerikas største stat, både i folketall og i areal. Landet grenser mot Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam og Fransk Guyana.
