Bydgoszcz

Bydgoszcz (, , ) is a city located in northern Poland, on the Brda and Vistula rivers. With a city population of 358,614 (June 2014), and an urban agglomeration with more than 470,000 inhabitants, Bydgoszcz is the 8th-largest city in Poland. It has been the seat of Bydgoszcz County and the co-capital, with Torun, of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship since 1999. Prior to this, between 1947 and 1998, it was the capital of the Bydgoszcz Voivodeship, and before that, of the Pomeranian Voivodeship between 1945 and 1947.

Bydgoszcz [] (deutsch Bromberg) ist – neben Torun (Thorn) – eine der beiden Hauptstädte der Woiwodschaft Kujawien-Pommern. Die kreisfreie Stadt im Nordwesten Polens ist rund 270 km von Warschau entfernt und steht mit knapp 360.000 Einwohnern auf der Liste der Städte Polens auf Platz acht.

Con una extensión superficial de 175,98 km² tiene una densidad poblacional de 2032 hab/km²; es capital del voivodato de Cuyavia y Pomerania.

| Bydgoszcz ( ; Duits: Bromberg ) is een stad in Noordwest-Polen met circa 370.000 inwoners en de grootste stad van het woiwodschap Koejavië-Pommeren. De stad vormt een agglomeratie met het 30 km oostelijker gelegen Torun. Bydgoszcz ligt aan de Brda, een zijrivier van de Wisla. Van 1772 tot 1920 was de stad Pruisisch respectievelijk Duits.

Bydgoszcz est une ville de Pologne, chef-lieu de la voïvodie de Couïavie-Poméranie, dont elle est la plus grande ville, et du powiat de Bydgoszcz. Entre 1871 et 1918, elle était rattachée à l'Empire allemand, et désignée par son nom allemand de Bromberg.
