California State University, Northridge (also known as
CSUN) is a
public university in the
Northridge neighborhood of
Los Angeles,
California, United States, in the
San Fernando Valley. With a total enrollment of 40,131 (as of Fall, 2014), it has one of the largest student bodies of all the 23 campus
California State University system, and is one of the largest comprehensive universities in the State of California (just behind
UCLA) in terms of enrollment. As of Fall 2014, the school had 2,096 faculty, of which between 745 and 784 (or about 40%) were on the tenure track.
