Central District (Shabestar County)

The Central District of Shabestar County is a district (bakhsh) in Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 64,312, in 17,772 families. The District has seven cities: Shabestar, Khamaneh, Sharafkhaneh, Shendabad, Sis, Vayqan, and Kuzeh Kanan. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Guney-ye Markazi Rural District, Guney-ye Sharqi Rural District, and Sis Rural District.
