Christian liturgy is a pattern for worship used (whether recommended or prescribed) by a Christian congregation or
denomination on a regular basis. Although the term
liturgy is used to mean public worship in general, the
Byzantine Rite uses the term "Divine Liturgy" to denote the
Eucharistic service.
