Cross Registry Information Service Protocol
The Cross Registry Information Service Protocol (CRISP) is a computer network communications protocol which has been in development by a working group at the Internet Engineering Task Force since 2004. It is meant partially as a successor to the WHOIS protocol, extending it to a notion of "labels" instead of only working on domain names and IP addresses.
