The
Danish American ethnic group consists of Americans who are fully or partially of
Danish descent. There are approximately 1,500,000 Americans of Danish origin or descent. Most Danish-Americans live in or near Utah, where they came as converts to the Mormon religion, or the
Midwestern United States, where they came in family groups as farmers or urban craftsman.
