Demonio
En religiónocultismo y folclore, un demonio o daemon, demon (del griego  daimôn, que se pronuncia démon [ai = e]) es un ser sobrenatural descrito como algo que no es humano y que usualmente resulta malévolo. Sin embargo, la palabra griega original δαίμων es neutral y no contiene una connotación necesariamente negativa en sus inicios para los antiguos griegos. Esto sucedió por la aplicación de la koiné (en el helenístico y en el Nuevo Testamento en griego) del término daimonion (δαιμόνιον) y más tarde se atribuyó ese sentido maléfico a cualquier palabra afín que compartiera la raíz, cuando originalmente fue previsto para denotar simplemente a un "espíritu" o un "ser espiritual". También se dice que puede referirse a personas con un conocimiento elevado como los filósofos.

Demónio
é, segundo o cristianismo, um anjo que se rebelou contra Deus e que passou a lutar pela perdição da humanidade. Na antiguidade, contudo, o termo tinha outra conotação, referindo-se a um gênio que inspirava os indivíduos tanto para o bem quanto para o mal.
