Freelance

A freelancer or freelance worker is a term commonly used for a person who is self-employed and is not necessarily committed to a particular employer long-term. Freelance workers are sometimes represented by a company or a temporary agency that resells freelance labor to clients; others work independently or use professional associations or websites to get work. "Independent contractor" would be the term used in a higher register of English that designates the tax and employment class of this type of worker, the term freelancing is most common in culture and creative industries and this term specifically motions to participation therein.

Freelance ist der Name eines Prozessleitsystems von ABB. Es wird zur Automatisierung verfahrenstechnischer Prozesse verwendet. Freelance ist in verschiedenen Prozessindustrien im Einsatz. Tausende von Anwendungen wurden mit dem Prozessleitsystem automatisiert, womit es zu den weiter verbreiteten Prozessleitsystemen zählt.

Als freier Mitarbeiter, in einigen Branchen , wird umgangssprachlich ein Selbständiger bezeichnet, der aufgrund eines Dienst- oder Werkvertrags für ein Unternehmen Aufträge in der Regel persönlich ausführt, ohne dabei Arbeitnehmer des Unternehmens zu sein.

Se denomina freelance (o trabajador autónomo, por cuenta propia o trabajador independiente) a la persona cuya actividad consiste en realizar trabajos propios de su ocupación, oficio o profesión, de forma autónoma, para terceros que requieren sus servicios para tareas determinadas, que generalmente le abonan su retribución no en función del tiempo empleado sino del resultado obtenido, sin que las dos partes contraigan obligación de continuar la relación laboral más allá del encargo realizado. Otras veces pueden firmar contratos por obra o trabajo y cobrar por tiempo, sobre todo en el mundo de las tecnologías de la información.

Freelance is een term die niet in de wet voorkomt, maar in bepaalde gevallen gebruikt wordt in verband met het verrichten van arbeid zonder verzekeringsplicht voor de werknemersverzekeringen (zie ook verzekerden voor de Werkloosheidswet). Voor verschillende wetten gelden verschillende criteria voor ondernemerschap waar al of niet aan voldaan kan zijn.

Un travailleur indépendant, ou travailleur autonome au Canada, est à la fois entrepreneur, propriétaire (de ses moyens de production) et son propre employé. Il est maître de ses décisions concernant son travail mais doit toutefois s'adapter aux demandes de sa clientèle.
