Ful medames
Ful medames (, ; alternate spellings include ful mudammas, as well as foule mudammes), or simply ful, is an Egyptian dish of cooked fava beans served with vegetable oilcumin, and optionally with chopped parsleygarliconionlemon juice, and chili pepper. It is a staple food in Egypt, especially in the northern cites of Cairo and Gizah. Ful medames is also a common part of the cuisines of the Levant, Northeast Africa (SomaliaDjiboutiEritreaEthiopiaSudan), Yemen, and Saudi Arabia.
