Harvard University Extension School, in
Cambridge, Massachusetts, is one of the twelve degree-granting schools of
Harvard University, offering
graduate and
undergraduate liberal arts-based degree programs as well as professional and
continuing education in 60 fields. Upon admission, degree candidates receive a Harvard ID and get many privileges, including access to the Office of Career Services. Approximately 150 Bachelor's and 550 Master's degrees are awarded each year. Unlike professional certificates, degrees are granted on the recommendation of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, thereby making graduates full-fledged members of the Harvard Alumni Association.
