Hold'em

Texas hold 'em (also known as Texas holdem, hold 'em, or holdem) is a variation of the standard card game of poker. Two cards (hole/hold cards) are dealt face down to each player, and then five community cards are dealt in three stages face-up, placed in front of the dealer. The stages consist of a series of three cards ("the flop"), later an additional single card ("the turn" or "fourth street") and a final card ("the river" or "fifth street"). The best five card poker hand is obtained by using the necessary cards from the community and/or a particular player's hole cards (if a player's best five card poker hand consists only of the five community cards and none of the player's hole cards, it is called "playing the board"). Players have betting options to check, bet/call, raise or fold. Rounds of betting include prior to the flop/"pre-flop", "on the flop", "on the turn", and "on the river". The betting pattern has variations, such as: all players might simply check on a particular round such as pre-flop.

In die Kategorie Hold’em (Abkürzung von hold them, dt. halte sie) fallen alle Pokervarianten, bei denen im Laufe einer Runde eine oder mehrere Karten (Community Cards, dt. Gemeinschaftskarten) in die Mitte des Tisches gelegt werden, die alle Spieler zur Bildung ihrer Hand verwenden dürfen. Zusätzlich dazu erhalten die Spieler verdeckte hole cards, die nur für ihn selbst erkenntlich sind. Je nach Variante ist die Anzahl der Karten, die ein Spieler verwenden kann, begrenzt.

Texas Hold’em ist eine Variante des Kartenspiels Poker. Texas Hold’em ist neben Seven Card Stud und Omaha Hold’em die am häufigsten in Spielbanken angebotene Art des Poker-Spiels und wird vielfach bei Pokerturnieren gespielt, so auch bei der ursprünglich im Binion’s Horseshoe in Las Vegas ausgerichteten Poker-Weltmeisterschaft.

Texas hold 'em es una versión del estándar juego de cartas de póquer. Su versión sin límite de apuestas (no limit) es la utilizada en el principal evento de las Series Mundiales de Póquer (World Series of Poker o WSOP) difundidas por el canal deportivo ESPN, y también en el World Poker Tour televisado en The Travel Channel. Existen otras variantes como límite de bote (pot limit) y límite fijo (fixed limit)

Le (littéralement « Texas retiens-les ») ou communément hold'em (HE) est une variante du poker. Elle constitue la variante la plus jouée, notamment dans sa forme no-limit (NL), c'est-à-dire sans restriction maximale de mise ou de relance, utilisée au cours de l'épreuve principale des World Series of Poker, le plus gros tournoi de poker du monde en termes de gains et de popularité.
