Hyaluronan synthase
Hyaluronan synthases (HAS) are membrane-bound enzymes which use UDP-a-N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and UDP-a-D-glucuronate as substrates to produce the glycosaminoglycan hyaluronan at the cell surface and extrude it through the membrane into the extracellular space.
