Hypertext

Hypertext is text displayed on a computer display or other electronic devices with references (hyperlinks) to other text which the reader can immediately access, or where text can be revealed progressively at multiple levels of detail (also called StretchText). The hyper<wbr>text pages are interconnected by hyperlinks, typically activated by a mouse click, keypress sequence or by touching the screen. Apart from text, hyper<wbr>text is sometimes used to describe tables, images and other presentational content forms with hyperlinks. Hyper<wbr>text is the underlying concept defining the structure of the World Wide Web, with pages often written in the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). It enables an easy-to-use and flexible connection and sharing of information over the Internet.

Ein (engl. Aussprache [], deutsch Übertext) ist ein Text, der mit einer netzartigen Struktur von Objekten Informationen durch Querverweise () zwischen Hypertext-Knoten verknüpft. Hypertext wird in Auszeichnungssprachen geschrieben, die neben Format-Anweisungen auch Befehle für Hyperlinks enthalten; die bekannteste ist die (HTML) für Internetdokumente.

Un système hypertexte est un système contenant des nœuds liés entre eux par des hyperliens permettant de passer automatiquement d'un nœud à un autre. Un document hypertexte est donc un document qui contient des hyperliens et des nœuds. Un nœud est une « unité minimale d'information », notion assez floue qui signifie simplement que l'information d'un nœud sera toujours présentée entière. Les liens entre les parties du texte sont gérés par ordinateur et permettent d'accéder à l'information d'une manière associative ou, tout au moins, d'une façon de naviguer personnalisée, de manière non linéaire, au gré de l'utilisateur. La notion d'hypertexte a trouvé sa plus grande réalisation dans le World Wide Web.

Hiperłącze (ang. hyperlink, inaczej: odnośnik, odsyłacz, link) – zamieszczone w dokumencie elektronicznym (tekstowym, graficznym, wideo, animacji, PDF, HTML) odwołanie do innego dokumentu lub innego miejsca w danym dokumencie. Odwołanie takie związane jest z fragmentem tekstu lub obrazem – uaktywnienie hiperłącza (kliknięcie lub nadejście odpowiedniego momentu) powoduje otwarcie dokumentu docelowego. Hiperłącza są powszechnie używane na stronach internetowych.

Hipertekst – organizacja danych w postaci niezależnych leksji połączonych hiperłączami. Hipertekst cechuje nielinearność i niestrukturalność układu leksji. Oznacza to, że nie ma z góry zdefiniowanej kolejności czytania leksji, a nawigacja między nimi zależy wyłącznie od użytkownika.
