5) Sukha (p): HappinessTheo A Tỳ Đạt Ma Luận (Vi Diệu Pháp), Lạc là một yếu tố thiền na có nghĩa là an lạc hay hạnh phúc yên tĩnh. "Sukha" đồng nghĩa với "Somanassa". Đây là trạng thái thích thú không liên quan đến lạc thú vật chất. "Sukha" nầy chính là hậu quả của sự từ bỏ thú vui vật chất. Dù nghĩa của "Phỉ" và "Lạc" liên hệ mật thiết với nhau, chúng vẫn khác biệt nhau, "phỉ" thuộc về hành uẩn (tạo cho hành giả trạng thái cảm nghe hứng thú trong đề mục), còn "Lạc" là cảm giác giúp cho hành giả thỏa thích hưởng thọ đề mục. Phỉ được so sánh với một khách lữ hành đi trong sa mạc mệt mỏi thấy xa xa có một ốc đảo (trạng thái vui mừng trước khi thật sự thọ hưởng). Khi đến tận ốc đảo tắm rửa và uống nước thỏa thích là "Lạc". Lạc giúp ta đối đầu với những triền cái trạo cử và lo âu trong thiền na. According to the Abhidharma, "Sukha" is a jhana factor meaning pleasant mental feeling. It is identical with "joy" or "bliss". Sukha is identical with Somanassa, joy, and not with the sukha of pleasant bodily feeling that accompanies wholesome-resultant body-consciousness. This "Sukha" rendered as bliss, is born detachment from sensual pleausres; it is therefore explained as unworldly or spiritual happiness (niramisasukha). Though "Piti" and "Sukha" are closely connected, they are distinguished in that "Piti" is a conative factor belonging to the aggregate of mental formations, while "Sukha" is a feeling belong to the aggregate of feeling. "Piti" is compared to the delight a weary traveler would experience when coming across an oasis, "Sukha" to his pleasure after bathing and drinking. "Sukha" helps us encountering the hindrances of restlessness and worry.
