Life in Hell was a weekly
comic strip by
Matt Groening, creator of
The Simpsons and
Futurama, which was published from 1977 to 2012. The strip featured
anthropomorphic rabbits and a
gay couple. Groening used these characters to explore a wide range of topics about love, sex, work, and death. His drawings were full of expressions of angst, social alienation, self-loathing, and fear of inevitable doom.
