Lutein

Lutein (lat.  (gold)gelb, orangegelb, mit Reseda (luteola) gefärbt) ist ein orangegelbes Xanthophyll und neben ß-Carotin und Lykopin das häufigste Carotinoid. Als E 161b ist es in der EU als Lebensmittelfarbstoff zugelassen.
