Minden

Minden is a town of about 83,000 inhabitants in the north-east of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The town extends along both sides of the River Weser. It is the capital of the district (Kreis) of Minden-Lübbecke, which is part of the region of Detmold. Minden is the historic political centre of the cultural region of Minden Land. It is widely known as the intersection of the Mittelland Canal and the River Weser. The town is over 1,200 years old and has many buildings in the Weser Renaissance style, in addition to its architecturally symbolic 1,000-year-old cathedral.

Minden ist eine Große kreisangehörige Stadt im Nordosten des Bundeslandes Nordrhein-Westfalen. Mit rund 80.000 Einwohnern ist sie die viertgrößte Stadt der Region Ostwestfalen-Lippe. Die Stadt liegt an der Weser und ist Kreisstadt des ostwestfälischen Kreises Minden-Lübbecke im Regierungsbezirk Detmold. Minden bildet das historisch politische Zentrum des Mindener Landes.

Minden es una ciudad del estado federal Renania del Norte-Westfalia (Alemania), se trata de una de las más pobladas de la zona con cerca de 80.000 habitantes y que se ubica en las cercanías del Weser. Es la sede del Distrito de Minden-Lübbecke en la Región de Detmold y cae a 40 km al norte de Bielefeld y 55 km al oeste de Hanóver. La ciudad de Minden forma parte de la Comarca de Minden (Mindener Land) y pertenece a la región Ostwestfalen-Lippe.
