Perú

Peru (; ; ; ), officially the Republic of Peru , is a country in western South America. It is bordered in the north by Ecuador and Colombia, in the east by Brazil, in the southeast by Bolivia, in the south by Chile, and in the west by the Pacific Ocean. Peru is an extremely biodiverse country with habitats ranging from the arid plains of the Pacific coastal region in the west to the peaks of the Andes mountains vertically extending from the north to the southeast of the country to the tropical Amazon Basin rainforest in the east with the Amazon river.

Peru (auf Quechua Piruw Republika, Aimara Piruw Suyu, , amtlich Republik Peru) ist ein Staat im westlichen Südamerika und grenzt im Norden an Ecuador und Kolumbien, im Osten an Brasilien, im Südosten an Bolivien, im Süden an Chile und im Westen an den Pazifik.

El Perú (en quechua y en aimara: Piruw), oficialmente la República del Perú, es un país soberano del oeste de América del Sur. El océano Pacífico bordea su costa y limita con Ecuador y Colombia al norte, Brasil al este, y Bolivia y Chile al sureste. Su territorio se compone de diversos paisajes: los valles, las mesetas y las altas cumbres de los Andes se despliegan al oeste hacia la costa desértica y al este hacia la amazonia. Es uno de los países de mayor diversidad biológica del mundo y de mayores recursos minerales.

De bijvoeglijke naamwoorden Peruaans en Peruviaans zijn beide correct. De bewoners heten Peruanen of Peruvianen.

Peru, dans un grand nombre de langues (allemand, anglais, etc.), est le nom du Pérou. Le nom est orthographié en espagnol (langue officielle du Pérou). Il n'est pas employé en français.

En juillet 2008, d'habitants ont été recensés. Lima, une vaste aire urbaine de d'habitants, est la capitale et la plus grande ville du pays.
