Proto-Indo-European Urheimat hypotheses are attempts to identify the
Urheimat, or primary homeland, of the reconstructed
Proto-Indo-European language. Such hypotheses often consider
glottochronology and how cultural, biological, and geographical items reconstructed for Proto-Indo-European fit the archaeological record.
