Sejm

The Sejm of the Republic of Poland (; ) is the lower house of the Polish parliament. It consists of 460 deputies (poslowie, literally "envoys", in Polish) elected by universal ballot and is presided over by a speaker called the "Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland" (Marszalek Sejmu Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej). In the Kingdom of Poland, "Sejm" referred to the entire three-chamber parliament of Poland, comprising the lower house (the Chamber of Envoys; ), the upper house (the Senate; Polish: Senat) and the King. It was thus a three-estate parliament. Since the Second Polish Republic (1918–1939), "Sejm" has referred only to the lower house of the parliament; the upper house is called the Senat Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej ("Senate of the Republic of Poland").

Der Sejm der Republik Polen ( []) bildet neben dem Senat eine der beiden Kammern des polnischen Parlaments. Er hat 460 Mitglieder, die durch eine Verhältniswahl entsandt werden. In seiner heutigen Form existiert der Sejm seit 1989, dem Beginn der Dritten Republik, aber seine Geschichte reicht in die Frühe Neuzeit zurück.

El Sejm (, "seim") es el nombre que designa la cámara baja del parlamento polaco, aunque en otras épocas designaba al parlamento en su conjunto. Su nombre completo en polaco es Sejm Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej («Sejm de la República Polaca»), aunque se suele abreviar a Sejm RP o simplemente Sejm.

La Diète de la République de Pologne (Sejm Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej, en polonais) est la chambre basse du Parlement polonais. Elle exerce le pouvoir législatif, vote le budget conjointement avec le Sénat et contrôle l'action du gouvernement, responsable devant elle.
