Strafford is a city in eastern
Greene County,
Missouri,
United States. It is part of the
Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. Strafford, just East of Springfield, hosts a Route 66 Cruise and Route 66 Days each year in celebration of
America's Highway or The Mother Road. The population was 2,358 at the
2010 census. The
Trail of Tears, which has been marked by the Greene County Historic Sites Board, begins its path into Greene County at the edge of the City of Strafford and goes through what is now Strafford Sports Complex.
