The song was written by Anne Judith Wik, Robin Jenssen, Ronny Svendsen, Nermin Harambasic, Fridolin Nordso and Yoo Young-jin, with production handled by Young-jin. An uptempo electropop and dance pop track, "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)" was recorded in their native Korean language and Japanese language, their first song in the latter.
